Rentify Terms and Conditions of Use

Rules applicable to the Platform, bookings, payments, and intermediated services

Effective date: 10 July 2026

Last updated: 14 July 2026

Version: 1.0

Important

  • Rentify facilitates the booking of and payment for services supplied by the partner identified before payment. The Provider, not Rentify, performs the Main Service, unless the offer expressly states otherwise.
  • A successful payment confirms receipt of the Booking Request. The booking becomes binding only after the Provider's confirmation is sent to the Customer on a Durable Medium.
  • The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy are separate notices; they are not treated as contractual terms accepted as a bundle.

1. Operator identity and scope

The rentify.md Platform is operated by Rentify SRL, IDNO 1026023031842, with its registered office at MD-2009, mun. Chișinău, sector Centru, str. Pantelimon Halippa 6/G, ap. (of.) 13a, Republica Moldova. Contact: support@rentify.md, +373 60 650 806.

These Terms govern use of the Platform, the Rentify Service, the booking process, payment through the Platform, communications, and administrative support. Performance of the Main Service is also governed by the Provider Contract and the booking-specific terms.

Mandatory consumer rights apply to a Customer who is a natural person acting outside their trade or profession. Provisions reserved for consumers apply to a professional Customer or legal entity only where the law expressly provides so.

3. Roles of the parties and contracts formed

Use of the Platform may create two separate legal relationships:

  • Customer–Rentify Contract: covers the Rentify Service and is formed when the Customer accepts the applicable documents and submits a Booking Request carrying an obligation to pay.
  • Customer–Provider Contract: covers the Main Service and is formed when the Provider confirms the request under the offer, Provider Contract, and booking terms.

The Provider is an independent merchant. Its identity, contact details, contractual role, relevant terms, and, where applicable, declared authorisations are displayed before payment. Rentify does not become a carrier, lessor, guide, or organiser of the Main Service merely because it facilitates the booking or payment.

Under the cooperation agreement, the Provider authorises Rentify to present the offer, receive requests, and facilitate collection of the amounts due through the authorised payment service provider. Rentify does not itself provide payment services. The actual collection and settlement structure is the structure accepted by Paynet and set out in the applicable agreements.

Rentify's verification of a Provider may include its legal existence, declared documents, contact details, authorisations, insurance, and operational capacity, depending on the type of service. Verification is not an absolute guarantee and does not replace the Provider's legal obligations or liability.

4. Pre-contract information and electronic acceptance

Before payment, the Platform makes at least the following available to the Customer clearly and in downloadable form:

  • the identity and role of Rentify and the Provider;
  • the service description, date, time, route or location, duration, capacity, inclusions, and exclusions;
  • the total price in MDL, all known mandatory costs, and the conditions for foreseeable additional costs;
  • the status of the request, confirmation deadline, and cancellation terms applicable to the booking;
  • the Provider Contract, these Terms, and the Cancellation and Refund Policy;
  • accepted payment methods and contact details for support and complaints.

Acceptance is given through an unticked checkbox and by pressing a button that unambiguously indicates the obligation to pay, for example, “Pay [TOTAL] MDL”. Paid add-ons are not preselected.

For evidentiary purposes, Rentify retains the version of the documents accepted, date and time, booking and transaction identifiers, and relevant technical logs, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

5. Eligibility, account, and accuracy of information

  • The Customer must have the legal capacity required to enter into contracts.
  • For vehicle rentals, the Customer and declared drivers must meet the age, licence, experience, and document requirements shown in the offer.
  • Information supplied must be true, complete, and current. The Customer must check the date, time, route, passenger count, and contact details before payment.
  • The Customer is responsible for keeping the account secure and must report unauthorised use immediately.
  • Rentify may suspend the account or booking where there are reasonable indications of fraud, false documents, a security risk, or serious breaches, while respecting the Customer's mandatory rights.

6. Available services

Depending on availability, the Platform may facilitate vehicle rental; chauffeur-driven transport by the hour; transfers; domestic and international journeys; event and group transport; minibuses and coaches; tours, excursions, winery visits, and guiding; as well as services configured through a customised offer.

The specific content of the service is exclusively that set out in the final booking summary and the Provider Contract. Photographs, vehicle category, or vehicle examples are descriptive unless the offer guarantees a specific model in writing.

7. Request, payment, and booking confirmation

  1. The Customer selects or configures the service and supplies the required information.
  2. The Platform displays the Provider, contractual documents, total price, and applicable cancellation terms.
  3. The Customer accepts the documents and makes or authorises payment, depending on the technical solution available.
  4. For services with a displayed price, the booking is confirmed by the successful payment; the confirmation with the service summary, total, applicable documents, and contact details is sent on a Durable Medium.
  5. A customised request (for example a custom transport request or custom tour) is first reviewed and quoted, normally within no more than 12 hours; nothing is charged until the Customer accepts and pays the quote, and the booking is confirmed by that successful payment.

Withdrawing a customised request before paying its quote is free — nothing was charged. If, after payment, the Provider cannot perform the service, Rentify initiates a full refund, including the Rentify Service Price and any option paid through the Platform.

A failed, abandoned, declined, or Paynet-unconfirmed payment does not create a booking. An amount displayed by the bank as “pending” may be a temporary authorisation rather than a final charge.

8. Prices, payment, and fiscal documents

Payments through the Platform are made in MDL. Any equivalent shown in another currency is indicative, and the Customer's bank may apply its own exchange rate or charges, which Rentify does not control.

Before payment, the total and, where applicable, its components are displayed: the price of the Main Service, the Rentify Service Price, and selected options. Rentify does not charge the Customer a fee merely for using a payment instrument or service. If applicable, the Rentify Service Price is charged for intermediation and does not vary according to the card or payment method used.

Payments are processed through Paynet Services S.R.L., NBM licence series no. 000586, using the methods displayed at checkout, which may include Visa, Mastercard, MIA, and the Paynet wallet. Availability of a method depends on Paynet, the bank, and the Platform configuration.

Rentify does not store the full card number or CVV. This information is entered and processed within the infrastructure of Paynet and/or the financial institutions involved.

Each party issues and retains fiscal documents for its own revenue, in accordance with the contractual structure and applicable law. The issuer's identity and relevant information are indicated in the booking or the documents received after payment.

Additional hours, fuel, mileage, damage, cleaning, fines, deposits, and other later costs may be requested only if clearly provided for in the Provider Contract, justified, and legally due. Rentify does not automatically charge the card again. Any later payment through the Platform requires a separate request and the Customer's express agreement.

9. Immediate commencement of the Rentify Service and right of withdrawal

To process the request immediately, the Consumer may be asked, through a separate unticked checkbox, to request commencement of the Rentify Service before any applicable statutory withdrawal period expires and to acknowledge that, once the Rentify Service has been fully performed, the Consumer may lose the right of withdrawal for that intermediation service.

Where the law recognises a right of withdrawal and the Rentify Service has commenced but has not been fully performed by the withdrawal date, Rentify may request only the proportion corresponding to the service actually supplied, subject to the law. This rule does not replace the cancellation policy applicable to the Main Service.

10. Provider obligations

  • to hold and maintain the authorisations, licences, notices, qualifications, documents, and insurance required for its activity;
  • to provide accurate, current information about the offer, availability, price, vehicle, personnel, and terms;
  • to confirm or reject requests on time and not accept bookings it cannot perform;
  • to perform the service in accordance with the booking, Provider Contract, and law;
  • to ensure the technical condition, hygiene, safety, and legal capacity of the vehicle, where applicable;
  • to be responsible for drivers, guides, employees, subcontractors, and the fiscal documents relating to the Main Service;
  • to cooperate on complaints, refunds, incidents, and disputed transactions and provide verifiable evidence.

Rentify may suspend offers or cooperation if documents expire, information becomes inaccurate, or reasonable risks concerning legality, safety, or quality arise.

11. Special rules for vehicle rentals

The rental agreement is concluded directly between the Customer and the identified vehicle operator. Before payment, the terms concerning age, driving licence, authorised drivers, deposit, security, insurance, excess, fuel, mileage, border crossings, accidents, cleaning, smoking, animals, fines, and late return must be presented.

The Provider is responsible for handover, technical condition, documentation, and legality of the vehicle. The Customer is responsible for use in accordance with the contract and law. Rentify does not unilaterally determine fault, damage, or retention of a deposit.

Any deduction from the deposit must be supported by the contract, a report, photographs, estimates, or other relevant documents and may be disputed by the Customer. Rentify does not automatically recharge the card for damage or later costs.

12. Special rules for on-demand transport

12.1. Vehicle, capacity, and equipment

The Provider supplies the booked vehicle or, for justified operational reasons, a vehicle at least equivalent in class, safety, and capacity, at no additional cost. Passenger numbers may not exceed the legal capacity.

A child seat, accessibility for persons with reduced mobility, animal transport, special luggage, and other safety requirements must be declared and confirmed before payment. An essential requirement that has not been confirmed is not deemed included.

12.2. Waiting, Customer delay, and additional time

The first 30 minutes of waiting at the correct pickup point are free. Once that period ends, if the Customer has given no notice and cannot be reached after at least 2 attempts, the Provider may declare a no-show, subject to the evidence required by the Cancellation Policy. A declared no-show is not refundable. Any additional waiting is charged only at a displayed or accepted rate.

Additional time or a route change is provided only if the Provider agrees and the Customer is informed of the price. For fixed-price journeys, ordinary border-control time is included unless the offer clearly provides otherwise.

12.3. Provider delay

If the Provider is significantly delayed, the Customer should contact support. Where the service is effectively not performed and the Customer does not accept an alternative, the booking is treated as an operator cancellation under the Cancellation and Refund Policy: a full refund including the service fee. Ordinary urban traffic must be taken into account by the Provider and does not, by itself, constitute an exempting circumstance.

12.4. Luggage, conduct, and lost property

The Customer is responsible for supervising luggage and personal belongings. The Provider is liable for damage caused by the fault of its personnel, subject to the law. Rentify and the Provider will use reasonable efforts to recover lost property without guaranteeing the outcome.

Smoking is prohibited. The Provider may refuse a violent or aggressive person, a person who endangers safety or breaks the law, or a person who refuses the driver's reasonable instructions. The refusal and any costs must be documented and assessed proportionately.

12.5. International journeys

The Customer and passengers are responsible for passports, visas, residence permits, documents for minors, declarable goods, and entry or exit requirements. If border crossing is refused for reasons attributable to the Customer, only the value of the service already supplied and unavoidable, actual, documented costs may be retained. Amounts saved or recovered are refunded where possible.

13. Tours, guiding, and customised services

The offer must clearly identify the Provider and state whether the price includes transport, a guide, tickets, tastings, meals, parking, or other costs. Costs not stated as included cannot become mandatory without the Customer's agreement.

If the service is a tourism service or forms part of a package, the travel agency, tour operator, or other responsible professional must be identified as the contracting party and meet applicable legal requirements. Rentify does not create or sell a package in its own name unless it has the required legal status and that role is expressly stated before payment.

The itinerary may be adjusted for objective reasons while preserving its purpose and value as far as possible. If a change is substantial and reduces the service, the Customer is entitled, as applicable, to an alternative, a proportionate price reduction, or a refund for the part not supplied.

14. Changes, cancellations, and refunds

The Cancellation and Refund Policy, available before payment, sets out the complete rules. In summary:

  • a cancellation by the Customer is refundable only when BOTH conditions are met: it is made no later than 24 hours after the successful payment AND at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup or start (both boundaries inclusive); the clock starts at the successful payment;
  • even on an eligible cancellation, the Rentify service fee is retained: 3.5% for vehicle rentals and 3% for professional mobility services;
  • a cancellation by the vehicle host or by Rentify/its mobility partner is refunded in full, including the service fee; a vehicle-host penalty applies only to a confirmed or active rental whose payment is still fully paid, is strictly between Rentify and the host, and never reduces the Customer's refund; unpaid or already-refunded states create no new penalty;
  • a no-show or the Customer's inability to attend is not refundable;
  • if no payment was captured, cancelling is free.

The exact outcome of a cancellation — whether each condition is met and the exact refundable and retained amounts — is calculated and displayed before the Customer confirms it.

A refund is made by the same method and in the same currency. Rentify does not charge a fee for making the refund. The time of actual crediting may depend on Paynet, the issuing bank, and the payment system, and is outside Rentify's direct control.

15. Payment errors, duplicate payments, and disputed transactions

For a duplicate payment, incorrect amount, or unknown transaction, the Customer must contact Rentify and provide the booking number and available evidence. Rentify checks the logs and Paynet confirmations and corrects a confirmed error without unjustified delay.

The Customer has the right to dispute a transaction subject to the law and the rules of the bank and payment system. Contacting Rentify first is recommended for a quick resolution but does not limit the Customer's right to contact the bank or authorities.

For a disputed transaction, Rentify may request information, send relevant evidence to Paynet and the bank, and suspend performance of the booking if the payment is reversed or there is a justified fraud risk. Rentify does not automatically recharge the card without valid consent or another legal basis.

Merely initiating a dispute does not prove fraud. Rentify may claim only actual, documented, legally due losses resulting from intentionally fraudulent conduct. Reversal of the payment does not, by itself, determine whether contractual obligations exist.

16. Personal data, documents, and cookies

Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy, and tracking technologies in the Cookie Policy. Those documents provide information and, where necessary, manage consent; they are not accepted as general contractual obligations through the same checkbox as these Terms.

Copies of documents are requested only where necessary and preferably through a secure channel. The Customer must not send a full card number, CVV, or document copies through ordinary messaging unless Rentify expressly identifies a protected channel.

17. Support, complaints, and authorities

Complaints must be sent to support@rentify.md or +373 60 650 806 by telephone, WhatsApp, or Telegram and include the booking number, a description of the issue, and available evidence. Rentify acknowledges receipt and assigns a registration number.

Complaints concerning non-conformity of the Rentify Service are reviewed and resolved within no more than 14 calendar days unless the law sets a shorter period. For the Main Service, Rentify forwards the complaint to the Provider, requests a response, and monitors the process without replacing the Provider's liability.

The Consumer may contact the State Inspectorate for the Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumer Protection and may use available judicial or out-of-court remedies. Current authority information is available at consumator.gov.md.

18. Liability

The Provider is responsible for performance of the Main Service, personnel, vehicle, authorisations, insurance, safety, quality, handover, damage, and obligations under the Provider Contract.

Rentify is responsible for its own Rentify Service, information it controls, reasonable operation of the Platform, correct transmission of the request, its payment and support obligations, and its own culpable acts.

No provision excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot be excluded by law, including in relation to fraud, gross negligence, injury, unfair commercial practices, or consumer protection.

19. Force majeure and exceptional circumstances

A party affected by an unforeseeable, unavoidable event outside its reasonable control must give prompt notice and mitigate the effects. The parties will attempt rescheduling or an equivalent solution.

For any part of the service that can no longer be supplied, the Customer receives the corresponding refund, with deductions only for services already performed and third-party costs that are unavoidable, non-recoverable, documented, and legally enforceable. Force majeure does not automatically justify retaining the full payment for a service not supplied.

20. Prohibited uses

  • fraud, false identities or documents, and unauthorised use of a payment method;
  • intentional circumvention of the Platform to avoid the price relating to a booking initiated through Rentify, to the extent permitted by law;
  • unauthorised access, abusive scraping, attacks, malicious code, or interference with the Platform;
  • threats, discrimination, harassment, or abusive communications;
  • use of services for an illegal or unsafe purpose or contrary to the Provider's terms.

21. Intellectual property

The Rentify trade mark, design, texts, databases, software, photographs, and other elements of the Platform belong to Rentify or its licensors. Use is permitted only for personal or contractual purposes and does not transfer intellectual property rights.

22. Changes to the Terms and applicable version

Rentify may update these Terms for legislative, technical, or operational reasons. The version applicable to a booking is the version accepted when the request was submitted. Later changes do not retroactively reduce rights already acquired, except where required by law.

23. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova. The parties will attempt an amicable resolution without limiting the Consumer's right to contact the authorities, an alternative dispute resolution body, or the competent court under the law.

24. Order of priority and final provisions

In the event of inconsistency, the following order applies, without affecting mandatory rules:

  1. the specific terms and accepted customised offer, for items expressly identified as negotiated;
  2. the Cancellation and Refund Policy, for cancellations, changes, no-shows, delays, and refund calculations;
  3. the Provider Contract, for performance of the Main Service, deposit, insurance, damage, and later costs;
  4. these Terms, for use of the Platform, the Rentify Service, payment, and disputed transactions.

The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy are separate notices. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to exercise a right immediately does not constitute a waiver. In the event of differences between translations, the Romanian version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
